Coming up With Simple Preschool Art Projects
Preschool arts and crafts are essential to improving motor skills as well as encouraging imagination. As all adults know, these skills prove useful during everyday life as we get older and preschool art projects are a great way to introduce young children to these skills.
However, many times the same projects tend to be put on the calendar time and time again because of their popularity and due to lack of time to come up with other ideas. In fact there are plenty of preschool art projects that are easy to plan, and fun for children to participate in.
Coming up with a new preschool art project or 2 can be accomplished just once a month in order to add some spice and excitement into art classes.
Hand Puppets
A great preschool art project that lets children express themselves while teaching them motor skills and communication skills. By using new socks and some colored markers, brand new hand puppets abound for every child! Offering some examples or ideas for the children to look at while decorating their own puppets helps to get give them a model to work from.
Adding glitter and glued sequins to the hand puppets can help to extend the project throughout a couple of days, helping to expand the diversity of preschool art projects the children experience.
Christmas Snowflakes
Using plain white paper and some children friendly scissors (those with round edges and dull sheers), snowflakes can be made to help decorate the preschool for Christmas! This preschool art project requires very little yet can offer an entire afternoon worth of fun and enjoyment, as well as learning for the children.
Using colored paper is an idea to add different options for the kids, and again glitter is an excellent choice for embellishment. Stringing them together makes great decorations to hang from the ceiling, and the décor seen throughout the preschool will have children beaming with pride due to their preschool art projects.
Purchasing Outlines for Preschool Art Projects
Purchasing books full of preschool art project outlines is easy, and offers plenty of options for preschool centers. This can be done at plenty of teaching outlets, or over the Internet. When using the Internet to purchase books, it’s important to remember that sticking with reputable and well known websites is the best way to go. In fact, Barnes and Noble is an excellent starting point.
As busy as the school year is, it’s still no time to let kids forget the importance of making a difference. There are plenty of simple ways to involve kids in the community when they’re not in class.

As teens head back to the classroom this fall, they’ll be assigned a lot of homework in the three “Rs”: reading, writing, and arithmetic. Important to students’ success will be the homework parents do in teaching two other “Rs”: role modeling and responsibility.

(NC)—Spring and summer mean more than flowers, rain showers, vacation and relaxation. The warm weather also brings a little known fact and an unwelcome reality: more child-pedestrian injuries and deaths than any other time of year.
